Guys, I did a thing...
If you read the post I wrote a few months ago, you may remember that I mentioned wanting to chase a dream. Well, this is my year! This is the year I learn to cook the foods that seemed so daunting to me before. This is the year I stop talking about my interest in woodworking and actually DO it. And this is the year I dive into writing.
I’ve wanted to write for as long as I can remember. Ever since I read an amazing book as a little girl (thank you, Jo March). For years I’ve wanted to put stories on paper for others to enjoy, but once again my fear shook my dream. What if the stories are stupid? What if no one likes them? What if they get horrible reviews? What if I can’t think of anything decent to write and no one takes this dream seriously?
Well, what if all of those things happen? Answer: at least I tried. I’m tired of the crippling fear that keeps me from doing what I’d love to do, so I’m done with it. A good way to get over a fear of something is to just stinking do it. So, I did. I started small. I started simple. But I started! =)
My first book is now available on Amazon. It’s geared toward children and written with specific children in mind (mine). It’s a short book and a super easy read, but I’m proud of it.
I’m already a total pro at this, guys. I definitely didn’t have my husband edit the book, only to accidentally upload the unedited version for print after he returned it to me. I also didn’t accidentally delete the correct version and have to start all over when I was almost completely done. Nope, I just whipped out a story in about a day and a half and it came out perfectly. So, when you read this simple book and you spot typos, misspellings or story line errors, I promise you it’s just your imagination. Also, please let me know what your imagination thinks it saw… thanks.
With that being said, I would love to hear your feedback on my baby book =) My kiddos absolutely love it, but they are the stars so I’m not sure I can trust their reviews… https://tjmarshall.wixsite.com/tjmarshall
